Privacy Policy

Memory Lane ("we," "us") cares about your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, write us at hello@photomemorylane.com.

What we collect

  • Account information: email address, display name, and (optional) profile handle/bio/avatar.
  • Photographs you upload: the original image and the restored output we generate for you.
  • Restoration metadata: any captions, locations, tags, or notes you add.
  • Payment information: handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number; we receive a customer ID, subscription status, and billing email.
  • Basic usage data: pages visited, errors encountered, device/browser type for debugging and product improvement.

How we use it

  • To restore the photographs you upload and store them in your private gallery.
  • To run the public Memory Atlas when you choose to share a photo publicly.
  • To send transactional email (welcome, Family Circle invites, trial reminders, billing receipts).
  • To prevent abuse (fingerprinting anonymous trial uploads to limit free credits).

Who we share with

  • Google AI — uploaded photos are sent to Google's Gemini API solely to generate the restoration. Per Google's API terms, your content is not used to train Google's models.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Supabase — database and file storage.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.

Photo visibility

Every restoration is private by default. Photos appear on the public Memory Atlas only when you explicitly mark them public. You can change a photo's visibility, or delete it, at any time from your gallery.

Data retention

We keep your photos and account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your photos and personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal/financial purposes (e.g., Stripe receipts).

Your rights

  • Download a copy of your photos from your gallery at any time.
  • Delete individual photos, or your entire account, from Settings.
  • Request a data export or full deletion by emailing hello@photomemorylane.com.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies/localStorage entries strictly for authentication, theme preference, and Stripe checkout. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
